DeBruler, Inc. is led by Wanda and Byron DeBruler. With a combined 54 years of experience working through the maze of federal, state and local governments, as well as the world of private finance, we know how to help you succeed. We help enhance your competitive position via:  

 

Byron DeBruler’s background includes designing and allocating funds for federal and state community and economic development programs and affordable housing resources. His experience is based on service to the Oklahoma Housing Finance Agency, Oklahoma Department of Commerce and the City of Oklahoma City where he drafted new legislation and redesigned how state, city and private entities work together to develop housing and other necessary services for those who need it most. Byron’s recent work includes: packaging applications for affordable housing community development projects; facilitating and developing strategic action plans, business plans and evaluation systems; providing technical assistance on affordable housing and community development projects; and, training on a wide variety of topics and programs such as the Home Investment Partnership, Rural Development Housing Preservation, Housing Trust Fund, Community Development Block Grant and Section 42 Low Income Housing Tax Credits.  He holds a Masters Degree in Public Administration and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science both from the University of Oklahoma.

Wanda DeBruler has worked to help provide necessary services to low-income residents throughout the United States. Focusing primarily on housing, education and other basic human services, Wanda has helped dozens of federal, state and local organizations identify, secure and invest millions of dollars in programs that have housed, fed, educated, employed and otherwise enhanced the lives of working families and their children. Her experience includes serving as the Executive Director for the Oklahoma Association of Community Action Agencies, federal and state programs auditor and accountant at the Oklahoma Department of Commerce and  contract consultant with the  U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Wanda participates as a board member on the Oklahoma Council on Economic Education,  Oklahoma State Weatherization Policy Advisory Council, and advisory member of the Oklahoma Healthy Homes Initiative.  Appointed by Oklahoma Governor Brad Henry, she previously served as a Commissioner for the Department of Consumer Credit.

Both are nationally recognized and highly sought-after speaker/instructor in areas of grant research, writing and implementation; effective community service and partnering; strategic and business plan development; and public relations.
